With graining and marbling our objective is always to produce accurate and convincing representations of specific marbles and woods. The painting skills and acute powers of observation necessary for successful marbling and graining can be applied to other tasks such as the copying of colour, texture and patterns of a variety of surfaces.
The photographs displayed below show examples of teak, oak and straight grained mahogany woodgraining; vert de mer, arasbescato la mossa, portoro and botticino marbles; stone blocking; calligraphy, intricate patterns and radiators painted to match wall paper.
